The Victoria and Albert Museum includes within its collection a sampler made by Elizabeth Parker who was born in 1813 in Ashburnham. She was brought up in the Schoolhouse and then spent her later years in the Almshouses. The sampler is a needlework narrative detailing her unhappiness as a child. Earl of Ashburnham's Robes
The Earl of Ashburnham's robes were offered for sale on the Ebay website in December 2006 for £300. These robes were the ones worn by Thomas, the 6th Earl of Ashburnham, who lived from 1855 to 1924. The robes were not sold.
